Castillo Pittamiglio was built in 1910 by Humberto Pittamiglio who was both an architect and an engineer.

He was also an alchemist!

Its interior is like a labyrinth with doors and stairs that lead nowhere. Geometrical shapes have their meaning in alchemy.

The front of the building shows the prow of a ship with the Victory of Samotracia on top.

The castle is located in the riverfront in Pocitos, Montevideo.
